FFs. I am aware of the crap lives of others, and yes I can't fully imagine the extent of their suffering etc etc. yes perspective ya da ya, I usually agree with your posts Yam but I also think it is fine and acceptable to vent about our 1st world problems in an appropriate setting, inconsequential as they might seem to some people. I thought Thom had gone about this in a clever and humorous way, maybe that's just the way I read this first post.

When we start stuffing our annoyances and anger at situations down and never give voice because " there is always someone else worse off" I believe we are doing ourselves a disservice too. To an extent. Situations where we don't seem to have any say or control in making changes or progress can be pretty frustrating even though there is currently food in my cupboard and clean drinking water coming from my tap, and I am grateful for that,I don't need to keep saying that.
I guess the 'first world problems' thing always triggers me when I feel that someone is basically saying 'shut up its not that bad'. Not just referring to hotmail here, ok?

everything's you in this world
